Proposed deletion of A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Oo7565 (talk) 07:15, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors 2001.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors 2001.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:30, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Suggestion
[edit]Um, you should probably tone down your rhetoric a little bit. I know you were pissed about A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors getting deleted after being WP:PROD tagged for 5 days, but accusing the administrator who deleted it with "vandalism" and being "abusive" is not cool. We all need to treat each other with courtesy and respect, even when we strongly disagree, or this collaborative project just doesn't work. Thanks. — Satori Son 22:32, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for your suggestion but you will have to bear my slavic temperament. Beyond that, in this particular case the admin clearly didn't look too much into the article, else he wouldn't have labelled it as "vanity release". Therefore, in the case of the speedy deletion of a valid article, the words "vandalism" and "abusive" don't seem totally unapropriate to me. Irina666 (talk) 22:58, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- But as I said above, it wasn't a speedy deletion. Being passionate I can appreciate, and having a temper is one thing, but at least get your facts straight before you go postal on some guy.
- And by the way, I was trying to just give you a friendly suggestion because I don't like being wiki-cop, but WP:CIVIL is not a suggestion. It's official policy, and things really do go smoother around here if everyone follows it. Thanks again. — Satori Son 01:35, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- ok, thanks for educating me on this - so it was a slow deletion... however a 5 day ultimatum seems speedy enough to me, as i'm not working on wikipedia on a fulltime basis. cheers, Irina666 (talk) 10:00, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've often thought maybe a 7 or 10 day wait would be better. I think the rationale is that Wikipedia gets so many new articles that should be deleted, the system should be kept as efficient as possible. Unfortunately, that means some decent articles, like yours, fall through the cracks. All's well that ends well, though. Happy editing! — Satori Son 17:34, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

- Ok, thanks for educating me. I'm reading now Wikipedia:External links, and it's written there:
- What should be linked: Sites with other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article, such as reviews and interviews.
- That's what I did, I added an informational link to an interview with the owner of the label which the article is about. I don't understand how this could be "spam or promotion". Irina666 (talk) 11:37, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
The Cheese Shop userbox
[edit]Hello! I found your userpage through the Les Légions Noires discussion page and I was extremely surprised to find the Cheese Shop sketch userbox that I made a while back! I had no idea someone else used it! And what a coincidence that out of all the thousands of users on English Wikipedia, I would happen to stumble upon your page! :D The userbox used to feature the image from the Cheese Shop sketch article instead of the letters CS, and given the size of userboxes it was so small that it was hardly even recognizable, but still copyright fundamentalists forced me to remove it. How did you find the box? Do you know of other people who have it on their userpages? :) — x-Flare-x{Talk) 19:09, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- i'm glad you appreciate! however i can't remember where i found that item. was just randomly stalking wikipedia for killer user boxes... Irina666 (talk) 11:13, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Why are you so cool?
[edit]Judging by your contributions your taste in music is incredible. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 00:22, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- thnks ... yet you haven't seen my albanian hip hop cdr collection ;) Irina666 (talk) 11:05, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- Lol, that's cool. I actually happen to like a ton of different types of music. I hate when people say they like everything because most people haven't listened to every genre out there, but I pretty much have and I like stuff from most genres. I like some underground hip hop, myself, like Deltron 3030. I like funk, soul, blues, electronica, classic rock, classic pop, folk, and a ton of other crap, but mostly metal. Especially black metal and folk metal. Besides I give a lot of respect to anyone who searches for their music and you know it's underground or rare or just not very well known. As long as you don't just listen to the garbage the media tries to shoves down everyone's throats, further making them into idiots. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 16:54, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of "Your Ruin..."
[edit]A page you created, Your Ruin..., has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a song or piece of music, but does not indicate why it is important or significant (and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia) and there is no article about the song's artist. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for music in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
